Message Button

Stay connected to your team with real-time messaging and threads linked to projects, services, expenses, and more.

  • To send a message, navigate to the top righthand menu and click on the Message button. A sidebar will appear and give you the option to view active, archived, or all messages. 
  • Simply click on a thread to open it and use the text field to begin typing your message. You can include a file or image by clicking the Upload Button
  • To see an expanded view, click on the three dots located beside the subject line of the thread and click Expand
  • To add a Tradetraks user to a thread, click on the three dots and select Manage Members. In the add user field, either select from the drop-down or type in the name of the individuals you would like to add. 
  • To remove yourself from a thread, click on the three dots and select Leave Thread. If someone leaves a thread it becomes archived. To continue to use the thread, you can reopen it from your message archive.

 

New Message

  • To create a new message, click the Envelope Button in the message menu. 
  • You can assign a thread to a project or service and add users individually or add recipients from the project or service employee list.
  • When choosing a subject line ensure to keep it brief to avoid display restrictions.
Note: Message threads that are not assigned to a job will automatically become private threads. 
  • A red bubble will appear on the message icon when there are new messages. To receive notifications of new messages, use the settings button in Tradetraks to turn on notifications.
